knife sharpeners

I have the spyderco, but I have been trying to learn how to convex with a mousepad and sand paper.
 
Own the Lansky, some nice stones, ans the Spyderco Sharpmaker. I can't remember the last time I used anything other than the sharpmaker to sharpen a knife.

The Lansky isn't bad, but with large or thick spined knives it just doesn't work for me. It takes more time to setup too.

Sharpmaker is quick, works on all knives. Shaving sharp when you get done.
