Knife sharpening or beveling work?

I'm new to the knife world as I just got started in hunting hogs, so I picked up a used Boker knife at a gun show. A friend said it needs some work to the edge since it's a double-edged dagger.

Seems like many knife sharpening services DON'T service dagger for some reason. At least close to me in Central Kentucky. My question is this:
- Would you look into the manufacturer resharpening service or more?
- Good online service to restore this?

Thanks. So much to learn between hunting, survival, bushcraft, and other use cases! Must admit that it's overwhelming but so interesting.

If you don't feel confident in learning to sharpen yourself then
- I'd do some Internet research about customer satisfaction with Boker's sharpening service, and the price including shipping
- see if there are any knife makers in your area and contact them to ask if they offer dagger sharpening
- check the service offered subforum here
- look online for mail-in sharpening services

Ah...didn't see this subforum so I asked in the General Forum. That works! I'd rather do more reading so that I can ask better questions after doing my part first. Thx!

Hi Chris, I would encourage you to learn to sharpen for yourself. It is really not a very difficult skill once everything clicks into place, and such a satisfying accomplishment every single time you will do it.
