Recommendation? Knife sharpening systems

A recommendation: list all of the sharpeners you're considering, then watch videos of someone using each one. You might find, as I did, that something clicks, and it's really obvious which one is right for you.

Yep! That's what I did.

U UCMD If you get a TSProf and get a kit that comes with the single and double clamp's be sure and purchase the reinforced spring's they are mad out of a bit thicker metal and pretty much don't flex at all unlike the stock spring's.

If you want to know what TSProf kit I would buy that will give you the best value for your money buy the Outdoorsman Kit it comes with stones the upgraded wrench's and the double and single clamp's,all I would get extra to start if your on a budget would be is the reinforced spring's and a Wixey WR300 angle cube.

The stones that come with the TSProf will be good practice stones and you should be able to sharpen M390 with them but I would even bother to try sharpening S110v.

I have both the Hapstone R1 and the TSPROF KO3. The tsprof will get you lower angles out of the box. I tried sharpening filet knives with the hapstone and just couldn't get the low angles needed for them. They now have a table you can purchase that's supposed to let you go low enough to sharpen them now.

If you have the extra money just bite the bullet and get the KO3, you will not be disappointed with it. I would get both the single and double filet clamps with the heavy duty springs.
