Hello, i have the Furi Ozitech Knife Sharpener and the Smith's Pocket Pal Knife Sharpener, and i just wanted to know your opinions on them.
I am having some trouble on getting a shaving sharp edge on my sog seal pup elite when using the ceramic stones on the Smith's Pocket Pal. What am i doing wrong??

For those of you that don't know these two sharpeners here are the links to their presentations on youtube...

Im not a fan of using pull through sharpeners, they will work for getting a decent edge that will work, but don't be expecting to shave your face from it. They are very limited in capabilities, you only have 1 set angle and very limited grit selection.

I'm not sure if there's much technique to recommend with those devices. Maybe try easing up on the pressure as you go along while using the ceramic stones with the Smiths.

It's hard to know if you've totally met the edge with those devices, as you'll never be able to check for a burr.

Like the other two posters, I'd recommend a different system if you want a shaving sharp edge. Lanskys and SharpMakers are popular. Better yet, learn to free hand sharpen. :)

Brian.
