I am looking for a sheath that fits a decent knife and a fire-steel. My problem is I see a knife or fire-steel I like, but then can't be sure it will fit a sheath with a fire-steel loop:confused:. So, I am asking, if you have a sheath that houses both a knife and fire-steel, please post a pick and provide the the name of knife, sheath, and fire-steel. This will help me a lot - thanks...

i know that JRE does custom sheaths, as well as our own ilbruche here on the forums, along with many other guys i'm sure...

some people also do kydex with a firesteel loop on them...

if you get a knife and a firesteel you want put together in one sheath, i suggest you contact ilbruche or JRE

They are pretty easy to add to the welt of a sheath. I have a couple different ways I do them. I like a lanyard on the firesteel that you can wrap around the rod to keep it secure.

Vance - Thanks. That is a nice rig. I was looking at the Bravo-1 today, but none of the sheaths I saw said they would fit. I like to pocket sheath too. I mostly wear cargo pants/shorts - I assume the pocket sheath fits perfectly into a cargo pocket? It has been said here a million times, it is always good to keep a knife and a means of fire on your person, not just in your pack.

no problem

i carry it in my right front pocket of 5.11 pants. it's very flat.(psk not bravo1)

i got my sheath from knivesshipfree.com

derrick is great & has super fast shipping.

iirc..
if you buy a bravo1 w/ natural handles they come w/ the leather sheath but if you buy one w/ man-made handles
ie..micarta they come w/ a kydex sheath

And Dan Koster sells them for his Bushcraft as well.

Il Bruche and mtnflk mike both do custom sheaths, the sheaths we do here can have loops added easily, or theoretically we could do a full custom sheath. I've never thought about it, since il bruche and mike do so much of that.

ading one is easy, but you can also do a ... what to call it? and undersheath, that rides behind you knife sheath, with firesteel loops and a pouch. I've made them and I know there was a thread recently that had a photo of what I'm talking about
