Knife shop is Socal?

Plaza Cutlery in South Coast Plaza is probably the best knife shop in SoCal. Worth the drive.
 
Plaza Cutlery - you wont find a finer knife shop anywhere in the Western U.S., that i know of. And with the new re-model i'm sure it will be better than ever! Not sure if they have reopened yet or not, you may want to check there web site or call them before making the drive.
 
We really need a good shop at the Valencia Mall, don't we? ;)

I would recommend Advanced Cutlery in Santa Anita Shopping Center.
 
Recon-1 in Tarzana is about 25 miles away. Nordic Knives in Solvang is about 110 miles away. Martin B Retting in Culver city is about 35 miles away; they used to have a lot of knives but I have not been there in a while.
 
Recon 1 in Tarzana is a great place, but not for traditional knives, and not really for Chris Reeves, but great for Spyderco and Benchmade. Excellent flashlights selection. Plaza Cutlery is truly a worthwhile drive. Do it when traffic is down, whenever that is.
