Hi,
It seems that I might be heading to these cities within the next few weeks.
Any recommendations for good knife shops in these areas?

Thanks!

Detroit, fogetaboutit. There is one place I know of. It's Harry's army surplus. Their knife pricing policy is MSRP+25%

Most "good" knife shops in Dallas are MSRP +25% also. Besides a small Army/Navy shop in Irving, I have yet to find a reasonably priced knife shop with good selection and friendly, knowledgeable staff.

Here are the places I've been to. I'll keep my negative opinions of the places out of it.

*BassPro Shops in Grapevine- decent variety (100 or so on display), good prices
*Army/Navy shop in Irving on Irving Blvd- good staff, good variety of the lower-end (under$100) knives
*Army/Navy shop in Plano? beltline and 75- a lot of cool stuff, higher-end knives
*House of Blades in far north Ft. Worth- ...
*Cabellas- decent hunting knives
*DFW guns on Mockingbird- go for the guns, not the knives
*Sportman's Warehouse in Lewisville- good selection of lower-end knives, good prices

I've been to more, but I can't remember them all now.
