Are there any decent knife shops in the state of Pennsylvania???
I purchase my knives online because apparently there's a shortage of actual shops in my neck of the woods.
Any advice would be helpful and appreciated...

Thanks

In yahoo type in "knife shop in Pennsylvania" and you will come up with quite a few.

Thanks for the reply. I realize that through net research I could probably come up with some answers, but i'm looking for shops recommended by BF's members.

+1 I bought my left-handed Umnumzaan there as well. There's another shop just to the west of Philadelphia as well. Here's what I had to say in another post:

It's not in Philadelphia, but just outside of it.

I was actually there today. One of the nicest guys I have ever met. He showed me some amazing knives, both custom and production. He has a great selection of CRK's, even some pretty rare ones.

He showed me some of his custom stuff, and I got to handle a f@cking beautiful Warren Osbourne custom. I was simply flabbergasted at the intricate detail. I also got to fondle a Ron Lake.

On the more affordable end, he has a decent selection of BM's and Spydercos.

Not sure where you live in PA but I just drove back home from Hershey and stopped at edgeworks in Frederick MD. Absolutely awesome store, if you live on that side of the state it's worth the drive.

Three great stores within a day's drive from central PA. Not sure where you're at, but Country Knives near Lancaster has great selection, great staff, but their prices are MSRP or above. Edgeworks in Frederick MD has a good selection for a small store, and good brick and mortar prices. Willey Knives in Greenwood DE (near the Delaware shorepoints) has a great selection, and lots of high end knives.

BTW, using Mapquest, it said about two hours from Hershey to Frederick using Rte 15. It's about that for me using back roads from the MD/PA line at I83 to Edgeworks.

google maps has it at an hour and a half. I don't think it took me more than an hour and it is a nice scenic drive.

I wish there were more around my side of the state. We have Chestnut Ridge about 20 mins away, but I've never been there.

Try wwwdotsharpuniquegiftsdotcom

I know the owner, Jack for many years and he is a straight up guy.

If you can visit the store, he some really cool stuff that may not be online.

Take care, Neil
