We've got about 45 knifemakers set up in the back corner of the Market Hall gun show this weekend, the biggest collection of knifemakers that Texas has going. We'd love to have as many knife folks as possible come by and visit or shop. I'll have these on my table.

www.lonestarknifeexpo.com is the show website for more information. Hope to see some of you there.

We'll be handing out 2500 cards to be submitted for a drawing for a free Jerry Moen caping knife. Hope some of you come on out!

The gun show was disappointing compared to past years but the knife expo was worth the trip. Anybody in this area should try to go.

Dang it I was there and did not see that corner!!! Geez! Was it in the very back center in the very back room - or the left corner room as you exit? Just customer makers? Wonder how many others missed it that were there?

They were in the south end of the east room. There were 3 or 4 custom makers in the main room mixed in with the guns and such. Kenny with Sooner State Knives was there selling production folders, and the guy that sells knifemaking supplies was also there in the big room. Depending on the size of the show you never know what you will find in the smaller east room, sometimes it is everything BUT guns. The 2 times I have been there when they had the knifemakers expo they put the custom knife makers in this room as well. I usually make it a point to go up and down every isle just so I don't miss anything, but sometimes you can see that an area is nothing but jewelry/perfume/etc.

Too bad I drove 200 miles each way and was not able to see the best there. Maybe they will put put more info in advance to direct traffic. Do not understand why 45 knife makers would be pushed to the back of a side room. There were unused unsold tables throughout the main room.
