Knife sighting on TV just now!

Jerry Busse posted a picture some time back of that Steel Heart-E. He said that it was really blown up in filming the show. It didn't look like the experience caused it any major trauma. In the story line all the evidence was destroyed. I told my wife that in real life, they could just sift through the rubble and find the intact Busse.

This weeks episode of CSI actually showed a homeowner using a 1911
to check out a noise in the middle of the night and to run off some intruders.
I kept waiting for them to show him doing something stupid with the gun or to get preachy about having guns in the house, but they didn't.

Hey, guys. Just sitting here watching Navy NCIS. Denozo (Michael Weatherly) asks Gibbs (Mark Harmon) to borrow his knife. Gibbs asks him where his is. Denozo replies that he forgot it. Gibbs then repeats "rule #9-always carry a knife." Later the two investigate where the sniper might have fired from in an abandoned building. Gibbs asks Denozo for his knife again, and Tony pulls out what looks like either a Spyderco Delica or Endura! Gibbs then pulls out his own knife telling Denozo that he was just checking up on him. The camera does a tight close up of Gibbs' knife and it looked like a Gerber Harsey Air-Ranger. I love it! Got to see two knives on a prime-time show, and they were shown as tools! Even though they pried with the Gerber twice! Here's hoping more shows will pick up on this and portray knives as tools in the good guy's hands, not weapons in the bad guys hands. Although, I'm not holding my breath.

This show has had several knife sightings. One episode that focused on an escaped seaman, he disarmed Kate, and tied her up. I think it was McGhee that pulled out what looked like a Spyderco Native to get her out. One of my favorite shows out there, Gibbs doesn't take any crap off of anyone! The new agent, I think she was Israeli special forces agent, when she pulled out that big Cold Steel, I was in love. Pretty, smart and loves knives and guns.

On the show Lost, John Locke's character also had a SOG SEAL 2000 taken away from him by Desmond in the hatch. Its nice to see that amongst his 3000 knives he's got some quality ones as well

I was watching CSI: Las Vegas and saw what appeared to be a busse fixed blade in a box next to a fridge. It was an episode where some kids father made explosives and the kid killed someone and right when they found the knife they opened the fridge and it was full of explosives and they blew it up...Anyone else see it?

See it, I now own it!

Jerry Busse's wife knew I was into CSI, so she told Jerry that I had first dibs. I just couldn't pass it up!

Tuesday's (10.25.05) episode of N.C.I.S. had Abby searching a database for a knife match. It looked like the pics they used came right from the Blade Art site. First was a Busse SH-E, then a CUDA, a F. Perrin by Spyderco and a long bladed Mad Dog. I knew the pics were from Blade Art since the Busse was a triple shot - blade in sheath - top pic, left side - middle pic, right side - bottom pic. Sure am glad I taped the show. The images were only a frame or two each.

LOL!!!!! Okay, I'm really suprised nobody has mentioned the scene where DiNozo rescues the kidnapped sargent (IIRC) from a locked room they were both stuck in. DiNozo tells the Gunny to remember Rule #9, to which the Gunny says "WTF?" and DiNozo says "I thought Gibbs was pulling my leg!" The Gunny says "What's R#9?" .. DiNozo tells 'im... and the Gunny says okay, where's the knife?

And DiNozo pulls this humongous BELT knife off!!! Dang thing had a blade at least 5"'s long!

NCIS RULES!!!!! :D

Rule #1 Always have a knife on you.
Rule #2 Bring a knife with you, always.
Rule #3 A knife? Yeah, have it on you.
Rule #4 I mean it. A knife. Always.
Rule #5 Don't leave your knife at home.
Rule #6 That includes *forgetting* your knife at home.
Rule #7 Keep your knife by your keys or something.
Rule #8 That way you will always have a knife on you.
Rule #9 Always carry a knife.
Rule #10 Oh, and keep it sharp.

#9 is my favorite, too.

In my opinion the E-handles are by far the most confortable of all Busses, though they may not be the best looking. Anyway, you mean they din't blow the kife up??
