jonvalblades said:i like the second one the best. the tip might not be pratical though( too thin).
jonvalblades said:are you going to try to make thm yourself?
jonvalblades said:Why do you have the pins placed like that?
Quiet Storm said:What's so unfunctional about them as far as self-defense is concerned?
silenthunterstudios said:You sound a little bit defensive yourself, I like the drawings, I stated that I thought they were neat in my post.
silenthunterstudios said:The knives do not look sturdy enough for self defense, but then again, I don't know what materials you are using, your level of expertise making knives etc.
silenthunterstudios said:Please, don't take offense from my comments, you asked for opinions.
Quiet Storm said:I'm not a knifemaker. Sturdiness is debatable. Some people think that Striders are great fighters, but I prefer thinner knives with sharper tips. IMO, sharpened prybars are more suitable for wilderness cutting/chopping/prying/digging chores. YMMV. I would want the one with the upswept tanto blade shape with a thickness of about 1/8", maybe a bit less, probably made of carbon steel (52100 or something), so I think it would be plenty tough - with a fine point.
