These are always fun to make. I forged the blade from 52100 steel and then forge welded a mild steel tapered socket to fit a shaft. A novel knife with the survivalist in mind.
The blade was heat treated to Rc 58-60 with attention to a fine grain
Double edge that has been flat ground and finished with a Scotchbright belt (check your local laws for this type of blade)
Overall length: 12 3/4 inches
Cutting edges: 7 1/4 inches
Leather scabbard with a belt loop that can be worn left or right
