Knife steel weight.

This is a silly question, but I recently was researching light weight folders and ended up liking the BM 535. This light weight knife trend got me wondering, is there any appreciable difference in knife blade steel weights?

I figured you guys who may notice this based on steel shipping orders or just weighing your own blades. I know if there is any difference it would be minute, but it still intrigues me. Thanks!
 
It is all basically the same, approximately .283 pounds per cubic inch. It varies some with alloy, but not by much.
