Last weekend, on the Gembloux knifeshow, a beautiful folder made by Reiner Grosche was stolen!

If you see anybody posting, or trying to sell on any of the forums, or e-bay, please inform me, or Reiner!

Thieves should be drawn & quartered, repeatedly! They spoil a perfect weekend for people who enjoy their hobby. Damn, this makes me so mad!

Kind regards,

Jos

There was another knife stolen the previous day from another maker. This appears to be happening way too often at shows.

Bloody Bastards! You just wish you could catch em at it! Don't think they'd make it out the door. All thieves deserve really bad karma.
Cheers Keith

Ugh.. nice folder too. Most makers are very friendly at shows and encourage you to handle their knives, but I'd understand if they became more uptight about that to protect themselves. I've also seen alot of tables with no one behind them. Bad..

Scumbags are everywhere. Where there's opportunity, there's crime.

It may be easy to relax, as I've found knife makers and most enthusiasts to be great people. However, you have to remember that where there are pretty shiny things there will be those actively looking to pocket them.

If if you are a one man show, eventually you're going to get tired, lose accountability and give someone with some luck/skill/experience an opening to snatch something.

Beautiful piece of work, hope the thief(s) gets caught.

This may be one guy doing this over there. I was told that a couple of knives were also stolen at the Dutch Knife Exhibition back in the spring.
