I am driving from Birmingham al thru Atlanta and on to ft Myers fl in a couple weeks. Are there any knife makers or stores or museums along the way?

1. About 20 miles east of Tampa is The Knife Place in Lakeland FL. Small place but quality selection

2. I don't know if you're going I275 or I75 but if you go I275 Through Tampa right off an exit just north of town is Shooters World. Gun mega retailer that has a pretty good selection of new knives. Mostly the tactical crowd though.

Safe Travels

Randall Knives factory is in Orlando as is a Bass Pro Shop. Ruff's Saddle Shop in Umatilla (called Cowboy Knives online) has a pretty nice selection. Also, Southern Grind is in Atlanta and may do tours and such.

Fiddleback Forge is in the ATL area. Their shop is a very interesting tour. You can talk to VANCE on their subforum about arranging one. Just off of I-285 in ATL is Going Gear. They have a pretty decent selection. Cowboy Knives has already been mentioned. They're a good stop in the central FL area.

I'm sure someone at the Clermont in Atlanta has a blade.

Sent via telegraph with the same fingers I use to sip whiskey.

If you're going through Tampa, you may want to stop by and visit Greg and Danny Gutcher at Sullivan's Holster Shop 2521 Success Dr. Suite 1 Odessa, FL (727)-376-3209. Sullivan's is the sheath maker for Randall Made knives and a Randall authorized dealer.

Orlando should be a "must stop" on your trip. Along with the Randall "shop" (Bo once said "General Motors has a factory, I have a knife shop") you'll enjoy the brand new Randall Museum. Over several years Gary Randall has transformed the family home into a world class Randall knife museum.

Gear Barrel in Ocala FL carries Microtech, Strider, Medford, Protech, Hinderer and others.
