Some modern day SAK’s are made with Cellidor scales. Will this material “gas-out” like Celluloid?

No.

Cellidor is a bit different than celluloid. It's safe from out gassing, but certain chemicals can hurt it. Some early SAKs have plain celluloid handles, but post WWII they seemed to have stopped using it.

No. Similar sounding but different material.

Thanks for the tip! I just started last year collecting knifes. All but a few are brand new. Cases, Bokers, Rough Ryder, Hen & Rooster, Buck, Old Timer, and Victorinox mostly. I will have to go through them and see if any have celluloid!
