Knife storage tip

For years I have been looking for a cheap, efficient way to store knives in my shop. Recently I noticed that Wal-Mart carries a line of plastic Plano boxes intended for fishing. These boxes are 2 inches high and come in different sizes, the largest being about 9x14 inches. They have four long compartments and a bunch of removable dividers. (What I had seen in the past did not have removable dividers.) If you do not use the dividers, these boxes are excellent for storing knives all the way up to 14 inches long. Since each knife is in it's own plastic compartment, no special wrapping is needed to protect them. You can label the boxes and stack them on a shelf and the boxes are clear enough so you can see what's in them without opening the box. Most of the boxes cost about $3.

Hope this helps.
