Knife Storage

I have an old 19th century mahogany type case (for the old printing type) with 17 drawers 20 inches wide. Each drawer has dividers of varying sizes originally for upper case and lower case type and printing plates. Knives fit sweetly in these compartments. I have lined the knife drawers with a soft goatskin leather for padding.

Look around at antique stores. You never know what you'll find. It's not always expensive. I paid $200. for my case which stands a little over 4 feet high.

On old leather Doctor's Bag holds all of my knives. I keep each one in various felt draw string bags and then stack them all in the bag. When you close the top it locks itself so I don't need to worry about visiting nieces and nephews stumbling on them...

I keep about 5 or 6 knives that are currently in heavier rotation in a tray on top of our microwave near the door, along with my other EDC stuff. I keep another 8-10 or so in the main top desk drawer for easy access, and another dozen or so on my monitor stand on display racks. The rest are stored in four clear tackle boxes with moveable dividers in the computer/entertainment/dog's room, near my desk.
