Heading to Ft. Walton Beach, Fl for a week. Was hoping for some recommendations as to knife dealers, stores or general knife related goodness. Google is not helping at all right now. Thanks in advance.

Start with pawn shops. I have got several great deals on knives and multi tools in the Ft. Walton area. Use GPS and search pawn shops. There are a few military stores too. I bought a brand new Victorinox multi tool that was about 10 or 12 years old in mint condition with pretty well everything you would need on it for 20 bucks at one pawn shop last year.

Start with the Trading post......you will be amazed at the thousands of knives stacked on top of each other.......the problem is they are hard to see and there are literally thousands.....then go to Azuza......nice manager and here is where you will get you deals I bet.

Jimmy's is a higher end, quality type pawn shop that sells Glocks and Benchmade knives.........you will pay more but they are nice.

The only other source I found was Bass Pro.

And tell them Robbie, the designer of the SOG Revolver knife sent you......:)

And if you can, go to the Destin Carraba's for supper, (about 8 minutes from Ft. Walton)..........amazing food and people are great.......again, tell the manager, Paul Schreiner that Robbie Roberson told you to eat there. I promise you won't be sorry...........oh this was about knives, but food and knives go together.

Thanks Robbie. We love Carrabas in Mobile, Al. We even drive the 1.5 hours to eat there sometimes. It just so happens to be my birthday tomorrow so a nice dinner is in order. I figured there would be some good places to buy knives around the military bases.

You are very welcome and happy birthday. Paul is a super nice person and if you get a chance, ask to meet him and tell him Robbie said hello and we will see him in the fall.

My wife and I usually stay a month on the beach and end up eating there for supper probably 20 times at least. We have never been disappointed. Paul and his people are amazing.

I bet Paul will remember exactly what we always eat.....I eat the spagetti and she gets the fillet chicken with goat cheese and we both get home made chicken soup..........and 2 loaves of bread.........with butter.:p

McGuire's in Destin or Pensacola. Fantastic prime rib, the one in Destin had a smoker right out front. Oh, they have knives, too, but you have to give it back after you eat.

Yes! Have eaten at both McGuire's and they are great too. Those fried mashed potatoes. ... omg.
