Any feedback on doing business with?
I'm about to pull the trigger on a purchase but had an issue with them a couple of years ago (lack of communication for six days on an order, finally contacted them and received the package). I guess I am a bit leery.
Their prices seem too good to be true, almost.
Thanks for sharing your experiences.

Update: It's been over a week since I contacted Knife Supply via email to ask if a certain model was still in stock. Kind of a test message...
No reply.
Look elsewhere friends.

I just checked them out and they were at least $10.00 less on the knives I was pricing out. Keep us informed

I've ordered twice from Knife Supply. The first time I got a hard-to-find knife at an excellent price and it came reasonably quickly. On the second order, there was a problem with my credit card flagging the transaction as fraudulent for reasons they couldn't explain to my satisfaction (I got rid of that card). Knife Supply worked with me to try the transaction again, and when it still wouldn't go through, they were kind enough to hold the knives while I made alternate payment arrangements. So they're good in my book.

I'm not completely surprised that they didn't respond to an email requesting stock status, which is clearly shown on their website, but a quick confirmation from them would have made a good impression on a potential customer. If you're still interested in making the purchase, I would also suggest calling them to see what kind of gut feeling you get when you speak to someone there. Good Luck!

Thanks for that input Moander. Just the fact K.S. was willing to work with you is good enough for me also that big phone number up at the top of the web page is a plus with me. I hate online stores that only want to communicate by E-mail and I've had my eyes on some damascus folders on that site.

Thanks for sharing your experience Moander. Maybe we'll hear more from other customers.
If you pull the trigger Knight Rider, please let us know how it went down.

Long time lurker here. Seeing this thread prompted me to finally sign up for an account as I'm in the middle of an iffy transaction with Knifesupply.com right now. It's currently been 3 phone calls, 4 e-mails, and 11 days since I ordered from them and I have just received a USPS shipment notification that something is on its way to me as of today.

I tried to verify in stock of a discontinued knife listed for sale on their site via both phone and e-mail with no response. Having seen that with a few other businesses in the past though, I went ahead and placed my order anyways as the website listed the knife as available (this was my first mistake). The one response I have received from knifesupply customer service told me that they had to re-order the knife but it had just arrived, was being shipped that day, and sorry for the delay. This was on Friday 10/26. The knife did not in fact ship that day.

I'm not sure what they "re-ordered" as it is a discontinued Spyderco (Street Beat micarta) not available anymore from the manufacturer. I'm assuming either they shipped me the correct knife and the re-order comment is a cover for their internal errors, or (this is what I'm expecting at this point) they re-ordered the plastic handled version ($72 cheaper and also listed as available on their site) and are shipping it to me passing it off as my actual order. In which case I'll immediately file with my credit card company under the fraud protection.

USPS should have whatever is being shipped here by Thurs and I'll update then. Hopefully I'm just being overly sensitive. However, given that there was already an existing thread and other on the verge of placing orders, it seemed that the community here should be aware as soon as possible before putting their own money/time/efforts/frustrations at risk.

In my most recent e-mail to knife supply (just before typing this), I let them know my concerns, mentioned this thread and provided them a link to it.

(edited for spelling typo)

wonder if it's a ship from distr. not a stocking company. some places actually stock inventory. some stock nothing and ship from the distribitor to you or order from distributor and then receive and ship to you. some of the negative sounds like this is the setup, but I have no idear.......

These guys: -link removed-
This thread got moved; I had a link to them in my original post but it didn't survive for whatever reason.
Your post probably got moved because this is where this kind of post belongs, and the same mod probably deleted your link because Knifesupply is not on the list of supporting vendors. I'd remove it if I were you.

Update...

USPS delivered today. Brand new Spyderco Street Beat micarta exactly as ordered. I'm a bit embarrassed I was freaking out as I was sure this transaction was heading south. The odd delay and spotty communication had me worried but the correct knife indeed arrived brand new, in proper packaging, and undamaged.

The micarta version didn't seem to be available anywhere and at the end of the day they came through and delivered my hard to find discontinued knife.

Hope that helps any other interested parties.

Thanks for the update Lurker. Glad you ultimately had success.
But from your earlier post it sounds like customer service is not exactly their strong suit. You shouldn't have had to follow up so much. When I ordered two years ago, I don't think I ever received an order confirmation. Did you?

I received an automatically generated payment received type invoice via e-mail right after payment. But not the standard pay and ship e-mails like when I've ordered from BladeHQ. They use kind of a weird (maybe dated) interface, IMHO. I finally stumbled on the "track my order" button on their website and had to figure out which number on the Invoice was supposed to be the order number.

For a knife that I couldn't find available on any the sites I've read about on here and really really wanted, I'm pretty happy at the end of the day to have "scored" the purchase I was looking for. Maybe I'm spoiled by the next day ship and easy accessibility of the more well known online shops lately?

Figured I'd really my experience and leave it here and let others make their own decisions from there.

Necro thread, but Had similar experience. Anza knife, priced so cheap I thought it might be a scam. I ordered it with my eyes wide open to the possibility. After six or eight weeks with no response to emails or phone messages, I filed a dispute with PayPal. Within a week, the knife showed up, without a word of explanation.

It looks like the web site is no longer running.
