I removed my original rant from here as Chris from knife Thursday has apologized and seems to have shipped out the knife in question .

Just got contacted by chris from knifethursday .. Sounds like he maybe got bogged down with work or emails or something . Asked me if i could remove the post here which i said i would . I will remove tomorrow if I hear back from him . My son and I arnt holding out for the prize as much as we are a response (and it seems this post has garnered one )
I know what its like to get bogged down with work and emails and such . I will pull this post tomorrow either way looks like chris is replying now . We would have been totally cool with a " sorry i messed up " but being ignored is frustrating.
I Still like the website and all there is to offer , great reviews and commentary and great giveaways (hopefully ) .

I enjoy his show, but I wouldn't remove anything until you get the knife. It sounds like they are bogged down, no new shows for a while that I've seen. The shirt business has gotten crazy. It's a freebie, no $ out of your pocket, but he did promise it to you. I think he's just bogged down right now, no harm in taking your post down after you get the knife though.

The winners were chosen early November 2014? I can understand getting busy or bogged down but 4 months is a little long to get a Kershaw Leek out... anyway, hope it all works out, I'm glad you've at least heard from him!
 
Got a couple of emails from hom now so looks like hes making good here . I can't imagine the work involved with a free competition. but just glad to hear from him weather or not I get the knife .
I Ran my own business for a while and learned fast that people are cool as long as you are honest.
Never ignore a simple phone call or email the problem can dissolve instantly!

That's good! You're right, a little communication goes a long way. Nice to hear he's on it now, I certainly have nothing bad to say about Chris or Knife Thursday, sounds like it'll work out

render and describe your wicked edge knife design .

anyways my son and I were picked !! we won !! we were sooo excited our prize (the one we were able to choose ) was a brand new Kershaw leek blackwash .
pretty sweet prize for a free comp . we felt thankful to have been entered .

long story short ....we never got our prize :(
i was really looking forward to owning my first Kershaw ...but not as much as my 8 year old was

at first Chris (site owner) was really responsive replying to emails promptly .
I wrote to Chris multiple times in many time though many channels and with different email adresses but he basically just ignored any of my attempts to find out what happened .
the last i heard was a generic message from his site saying "prizes are ready to ship "
I gave a shipping address and never heard back . the last few times i wrote was just to ask if our prize had been shipped out ??

I feel totally let down , the effort we put in was for nothing ...thanks for smashing my sons hopes .

good luck if anyone has to deal with this guy .

Looks like chris is replying and getting a tracking number for me .
the Kershaw leek sure looks like a cool knife im the blackwash .
Sounds like this will all iron out .

Hey thanks , he got back to me right away and has since sent me a pic of the tracking number !
Ill leave this up till tomorow so people can see hes made it up to us .
No hard feelings .
 
I don't think they will delete the entire thread. You might have to just delete everything you posted and leave empty post boxes.

I am no Mod but deleting threads I think is a NO No
 
I Didn't realize deleting was not an option. Still I edited my opening post as chris from knife thursday has shipped a package and given me a tracking number .
I think he has been super busy lately and apologized for overlooking us .
No hard feelings.
 
Shiz happens. We all know that. Smashing your sons hopes? Seriously? It's a free knife. You and your son should cherish the time you spent bonding - not complain over a free Kershaw. You gave your .02 now there's mine.
 
Chris has since made it up to us and mailed out the knife wich my friend picked up for me ...
It just felt rude being ignored and let down , he apologized right away and made good.
I would delete this thread if I could , edited my first comment to reflect what happend .

Really? Is that what you got from this? They were promised a knife. I suspect they're bonding even better since dad showed son how to deal with the situation.
