This video is a little raunchy so beware if you are sensitive to bad language, but given this is probably the world's greatest authority on wilderness survival, Ron White, I thought I would put this here for reference...
I can't view this video . Gotta love videos made inaccessible . :(

Ron White ? If that's "'Tater" , sorry I missed it .

Sorry the link doesn't work. Easy to find on Youtube.
Yup, it's Tater Salad in top form

That was great, but, 7mm mag, 7 shot pistol?
He's a little sketchy on technical knowledge, but I do know of a polar bear killed by a handgun at point blank range. In a tent.
Anyway, he's a comedian. Take it with a grain or two. Not salt - Grain alcohol that is...

My name means "bear" in Norwegian, or so my grandfather told me. I wonder if it will help keep the bear from attacking me. Kindred spirits, or who knows I could have some bear blood in me, considering how much the Vikings liked to rape, and how proud my grandfather was of being Norwegian.

It would be nice, but since boars kill cubs to free up the sows for mating, and bears fight for different reasons I wouldn’t count on it. 🤣Best to tap into your Viking swordsmanship!

And if that Viking sword/axemanship fails, Viking mating skills are a last resort!

Hope you never were bait for one of these :  https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Candiru_(fish)
No, but I was told by some native people to wear tight fitting bathing suit when in fresh water! I heard some pretty horrific stories about the candiru. I met some amazing indigenous people in the jungle there and loved spending time with them and learning. It was like being inserted into a National Geographic show.
