Knife/Tool

My Leu is a flesh folder. That's why I hope I won't have to use it.
Vemon- What? You regret the CQC13?

Hi Gang- While I respect the safe-queen mentality, it took me too long to realize that my EDC knife is going to be a tool. Thank you, Ernest.
I don't care if the action is not super smooth, it will break in. Or, if the blade is not perfectly centered. Unless there is a major flaw, I'm going to use that knife and not worry about it. That's not to say I will not take care of it. Tools need to be maintained.
It seems like we have forgotten what a knife is for. Get a knife you like and USE it! Thank you, Dad.
Oh, and if you are on the fence about serrations, get them.
rolf

Which is why I use Cold Steel. I don't like serrations though.

syco- Get an Emerson. You won't look back.
Man 'O live, Vemon!!!!!!! Get that one back.
You are welcome, Ben. The Rancher is the PERFECT pocket knife.

Colleagues, while I'm finding Irish Commander and Dubliner-7.
When will collect the entire series, then we'll talk ;)
And I know a man who has all three of the knife, but the negotiations are not successful :(

Well you're always after his lucky charms!

Well said Rolf! I've given my collection a serious look and sold the blades I do not use. There are a few that I use less, certain slip joints, mostly, that I am saving for my kids--but those have been used enough to have a nice patina going. For me, the pleasure of knife owning comes from using--that's me... and clearly a few others here.

Thank you, Anthony.
And a knife that is used begins to feel like a trusted friend, imo.

Mine are all workers and I consider them tools. I really don't care what other people do. I do like buying discontinued knives from others in unused condition.

But seriously, they're all users. I just enjoy keeping them cleaned. That Super Commander has never been apart since I got it. What you see there is how it came to me. Smooth as ice, centered, and rock solid.

Man I love that knife! I actually bought that to hold me over while my Commander was being worked on. I had already done a week without it before and I was climbing the walls! So Rolf suggested I get another Emerson while it's away. I don't regret that purchase one bit. Thanks, Rolf!

The other two have been worked on and they are as solid as an anvil. No blade play, centered, and very smooth actions. It's just the way I need them to be. I can't look the other way if the blade is not centered or it's too tight. I'm silly like that.
