"Tacticool"? And under 3" blade with a pocket clip? I' d say try the Boker Trance as well. It has a broad flat ground blade of reasonable good AUS 8 steel. It is quite a good slicer due to its flat ground blade; holds a reasonably good edge and easy to sharpen. Dual thumb studs, tip up or down pocket carry, and a frame lock mechanism that is holding up very well for me thus far. The excellent detent does a great job of holding the blade shut. The "flipper" doesn' t really "flip" well. But it doubles as an excellent guard. At less than $40, it is a good working knife with what I see as excellent quality control.
