Knife uses for pry bar

If I have nothing else and I absolutely have to use it to pry something, I suppose I have no choice do I?

Under normal circumstances though (99.99% of the time), no prying for my knives.

I generally use real pry bars for pry bar tasks. Only on prybar task comes to mind that I might use a knife with any frequency..... prying up the lid of a can you just opened with a can opener so I don't get cut.

This brings me to the point that saying a knife is a pry bar (Kabar BK-2 is a good example) just means the knife is probably over built for knife tasks.

I know the Becker BK 2 would be a good knife for emergency prybar use. Clearly knives are not prybars. Has anybody ever needed to use the Cold Steel Leatherneck Tanto or Semper Fi as a prybar? Just wondering what knife, decently priced, could be used as a prybar under emergency situations. Thanks

You bumped an 8 year old thread for that? I would start a new one. If you want a prybar, get a Busse.
