Knife versus sheeple in today’s comics!

That's awesome.

A while ago I got into an argument on a gaming forum (which has quite a bit of UK people there) and they just could not understand that a weapon is only a weapon if used as one. To them a knife is a weapon and scissors are a tool simply because of their blind acceptance of cultural stigmata.

When I first came to work at the SEC, there was a little old lady who had worked there forever. She carried a huge, say 10"+, butcher knife in her purse or shopping bag wherever she went. When she went down the hall to the Ladies Room, she carried that knofe in her hands, clasped in front of her chest. The situation became more and more intense as she got more and more intimidating with the thing until the management finally stepped in and informed her of the law about carrying knives in federal buildings. Since a 2.5" folder was not sufficient to ease her fears, she started carrying a huge pair of scissors held open with the narrow blade prominent. That was when they finally decided that it was time for a disabiity retirement for her.

You might not be allowed to have a KNIFE in school, but I bet the cafeteria has a great selection!
I'll also bet the woodwork shop has chisels.
Every office I have ever worked in has more knives in the kitchen than I have carried.

the good old days are long gone...
Now adays sheeple are everywhere and they NEED to be educated.

It's horrorable what reputation tools like knifes and guns are getting these days when there are much dangerous weapons out there.

Sad but true.

Caused me to think of a project I've been wondering about. Many of the larger sizes of scissors have an adequate size blade for reprofiling, but I wonder about the heat treat. It might make for a good start towards having an effective cutting tool in a PC (brainwashed) office.

My daughter is in the habit of sharpening her wooden pencils with a pocket knife. Being at school one day, she did not have her knife with her.

"Dad, it's not easy sharpening a pencil with a pair of scissors."

Somehow she did it....

Reading this, I remembered sharpening a pencil in trig class in high school (4 years ago) and getting yelled at, not for using a knife, but for making a mess on the floor. I later found out that the older female teacher carried a small folder with her. Probably the last school in MA that you can still get away with that sort of thing.

I can't get that image out of my head. Hilarious, in a frightening way.
