Knife/watch combo

What type of digital camera are you guys using? I'm using a Sony Mavica MVC-FD95 with Sakar 52mm Close-up 2+.

Also, how do you guys get that "glare"-less picture? I presume you're not using a flash. But, when I try going flash-less, the picture is WAY to dark. Hmmm, very frustrating. :confused:
 
I have a SONY MAV 91-bought it when I started my website.

In order to take pics of ANY object that reflects light, you have to shade your light source......BUT you still have to use light. I got most of my info from Dan Fitzgerald, professional photographer and long time knife photog. He has a light tent, built in the shape of a pyramid, with his cameral hanging in a hole at the top.....object at the bottom and photo strobes on all four sides of the pyramid. I have the same effect only el cheapo.....a big piece of artist vellum (its just thin paper and really cheap) stretched over a big square frame I made and set at 45 degrees with the lights behind it. I do use blue photo floods (3) in cheapo metal holders and it comes out pretty good.....right now 2 of the bulbs are burnt out and Im too lazy to go replace them so that last pic is with only one bulb going.
