Hello, I am trying to compile a list of good websites to buy all kinds of knives from. I know of a lot, but I can't always remember them, and there are always more. I just want some places to search around that I haven't used before. I'm fine if you just make lists of them without anything else, I can look them up. I buy knives from $100 to $1000. Any info is appreciated. Try not to lists ones already listed if you can.

Thanks BB.
Also, the ones NOT on that list cannot really be listed as it can be considered deal spotting (no go here).

If you have that kind of money to spend go to the list on the link above and just order from one of them, no need for us to compile a list of manufacturers and custom makers for you. Half the fun is the research.

Good luck in your quest, Google knife and there will be a major list of sellers, when you get your list go look on TGB&U forum and look to see who's listed. You could always go with a paid Gold membership, it'll help support the community and it'll give you a little more leeway in seeking out your answers.

IIRC I believe they frown upon promoting retailer's and custom maker sites that don't support BFC, you can understand why. Look on the header or one of the banners for 1SKS, that's Kevin's store the owner of the forum and our host.

So are we not allowed to ever post links to dealers that aren't paid members? What about just mentioning them?

There is no hard and fast definition, but we know it when we see it. I take it the OP wants to reinvent the internet/google in a way by compiling some kind of list that has every knife store that sells knives. Seems like a giant fruitless endeavor at first glance.

You are correct, don't post links to nonsupporting dealers. It's been in and part of the forum rules going on over 10 years now, maybe longer. Why give them free advertising? Especially on the backs of the dealers that care enough about the community to pay for their membership? It's all about context. We want to support the members that support the forums, bandwidth, server space, and licensing fees are still not free.
