Thats easy! take a spyderco and find a button compass that'll fit the spydie hole. Next silver-solder it in place. If the compass is plastic use epoxy instead. Presto! Instant blade/compass combination!
Seriously: A compass pouch can be sewn/straped onto most fixed blade sheaths.

I may be off here but don't we not put a compass right next to a metal object due to the fact that the metal will offset the compass so that you will not get a true bearing? Or will the fact that the compass is always surrounded by metal merely keep the offset, hence it doesn't matter? Just wondering. Take care.

Remember dont keep all your eggs in one basket.

Shoot as it is I keep a mini survival kit in my jacket and a big survival kit in my truck.

Why not just buy a blade with a compass already afixed to it? I' ve been told that the now discontinued small fixed blade model Vagabond from AlMar had a working compass on one side of its rubber handles.

Well, I seriously hope no one actually thought I wanted a knife with a compass in the blade. This all started in Chat, when we tried to convince Tim Herman to make us a Sliver with a compass in the blade and a hollow handle. If you haven't visited Chat, you might want to try...

I would not subject a compass to the trauma it might receive on a knife. I stay away from hollow handled knives with compass in the butt cap and knives with compass pouches. To start off, a compass is a precision instrument regardless of how much you pay for it. Contact or exposure to anything metalic can mean the difference in finding your way home and a total misreading of your bearings. In addition to this, a knife blade with a compass would mean the compass would possibly get damaged in chopping or(if liquid filled, which most are)could possibly leak. Carry the compass around your neck or on your belt but far away from the knife. Also be weary of reading the compass close to your belt buckle since that can throw you off too. Best of luck buddy.
