The next Knife Workshop will be held on July 9-10. I`m happy to say that it is already filled!

I`m hoping they will post photos of their designs in this thread.
 
I'm traveling for work right now, but I'll post mine when I get home this weekend. I used a thin MDF board to cut one out so I could get an idea on how it would feel.

Really excited about the class!
 
Happy Father's Day to all! Really looking forward to this workshop. I finally had some time to draw up a pattern today and though it may change I'm getting close!
John was kind enough to let me bring my own scale material...now to choose a set!

Far left looks good..!
 
Very cool design! I like the burl scales. Can always stain the wood darker. I wouldn't change anything.👍

I like the dark ones. I already checked and they are not coco bolo, so I won't be going to the hospital that day!
 
another vote for the dark scales -- curious as to what they are, though.
middle set looks like buckeye burl.
 
Left: Hybrid black walnut
Middle: Curly maple
Right: English walnut

...lets see those patterns guys!

Finally have some design ideas put together. Gonna cut them out of MDF and see if any of them feel right.
