Knife you can't get rid of

I have a ZT0561 that I tried to sell for over a year or maybe two (not on bladeforums), but no interest at my asking price.

Lol, I tried to search that knife, and it defaulted to this:

I'm guessing that's not the asking price though...

Got a ZT 0762 that’s kind of modded out. Felt like it was a “deal” back when I bought it relatively cheap in a moment of weakness. It has become my everyday beater. It’s ugly, it’s got a decent (relatively long) 20CV blade and it hardly weighs anything. So, it gets carried most every day….therefor saving wear & tear on the knives that I actually like! :)

I hate pretty much everything about it. Tip-down only carry (and rides high in the pocket), bead blasted blade, tanto tip, partial (crappy) serrations, and rubber grip inserts. It's like someone made a checklist for me and gave me exactly what I didn't want. To top it off, Uberdouche Anthony Marfione's signature is etched on the blade.

Bob Bartoli was a well-known and well-loved Microtech dealer, and fun guy on the Jerzeedevil forums. When he passed there were a number of raffles to raise money for his family. I didn't see this was going on until the very last raffle, so I threw my money in the pot. $15, if I remember right, 1/10th the approximate value, for one of 10 raffle slots. I won. I promised I'd use and abuse the knife, and would never sell or trade it away. Still have it, still carry it (from time to time). Still going strong for a well-used 20+ year old knife. I need to get it drilled for a tip-up pocket clip so I'll carry it more.

I bought this for $12 shipped! on etsy just to see what a $12 knife looked like.
It's actually not bad, but being a knife snob I'm sort of ashamed to have such an, uh, inexpensive knife.
Can't sell it; not even worth the postage.
I find it moves from place to place around the house, so much so that it actually sees some usage.
Maybe I take it camping and 'lose' it.

Interesting timing. The Starmate I posted in the EDC thread today I’m putting into use mainly because I’ve tried selling it and got no takers. Looks like it’s a keeper. Another would be my Pacific Fer de Lance.

I've always wanted a Fer De Lance as well as the Jody Samson boot knife, but without an actual need for one, I never sought one out.

Now that I've learned how to post pics, here are a couple of pics of my Puma White Hunter (early 1970's Christmas gift) in a sheath I made for it a while back. Also another knife I could never part with, my grandfathers well worn Case 3 blade. He had this knife on him at ALL times.

The OP's question appears to be about knives that you do not like but can't get rid of either because they have sentimental value or because nobody would buy at the asked prices.

My complete custom job on my Manix 2. One has Karbadizes clear scales and that is a keeper. The second is this beaut with fat carbon scales, custom titanium backspacer, titanium ball cage. Upgraded spring and ball so it feels like a BM axis lock. Oh and Para 3 deep pocket clip and marching carbon fiber lanyard bead. Even the blade is from a sprint run and I switched the liners for some skeletenized ones so it's lighter. Love this puppy I feel guilty carrying it.

This POS. It's always outside or in the garage and gets used a lot as a result. I grabbed it to take a picture for this thread...20211210_155808.jpg

...and I noticed that the dumb, pain in the rear extra lock (red)... 20211210_163747.jpg

...is actually pretty cool. It prevents the liner lock from slipping out of place.20211210_160416.jpg

It's still not coming inside.
