This has long been overdue, but I owe it to the great customer service of Dan's Whetstone company. About a month ago I ordered an arkansas tri-hone from Knife Art. The stone was faulty and had a crack line. At the time I read that this is to be expected with natural stones and shouldn't effect your sharpening. Well about a day in using the stone, the crack line spread and became a noticeable bump while sharpening. Having read knifeart's policy, I knew not to expect a refund, but I contacted them about my situation anyways. They replied and said they would contact Dan's Whetstone company, the place where Knifeart gets their stones in regard to my situation.
About a week in, I was contacted by a Brian from Dan's whetstone company. He offered to replace my arkansas stone at NO COST, the only thing I had to pay was for my own shipping. I don't know about you, but this company went out of their way to asses a situation that didn't directly involve them. I am amazed with the extent to which Dan's Whetstone Company went out of their way to help me out and they will be definitely be getting my business in the future.
