Every time I forge a knife, it also entails a fair amount of stock removal.

what if you work your billet in the forge and weld it up, when done forging, if you take the barstock you just made, and do stock removal is it considered forged??\\

i guess not the steel would be but not the knife?

There's also steers.....the ones that act special because they have the hammer, but don't actually have the rest of the tools it takes to be a stud.
