I have been reading the discussions regarding knifemakers posting new work. How about knifemakers posting their collections? Many collectors don't realize that many makers tend to accumulate knives made by other makers.
My collection is very, very small indeed, but to me each knife represents excellent design and execution. The knives will not to appeal to everyone, but to me they are very special. I would still love to add one of Kevin Cashen's bowies when the right one comes along.( I loved the "seahorse bowie" he made several years ago)
Please excuse the quality of the photographs, I am not much of a photographer.
Wolfgang

First a Kemal dagger. I have had this for many years, but enjoy it as much now as I did when I purchased it. The handle is completely hand carved, not cast. The eye is opal.

And finally an all steel folder made by Tim Hermann, I did the carving on the handle - the only work of mine that I own.

Quite an eclectic collection.
Couldn't pick a favorite as they all look superb.
Thanks for showing us.

That Kelso dagger has supplanted the Goo, (sorry buddy:o) I had on my desktop. That thing is amazing!

Cool stuff!! I would think that Mr. Ellis would have one of the more ridiculous collections amongst the knifemaker crowd:D

Geez.. I had to show them to my wife, who doesn't really get the obsession, and even she could just say "wow"!
Unbelievable workmanship.

Thanks for sharing such unusual designs. I would never have imagined.

That Kemal piece is a dream. The Kelso piece of course is museum quality.

Well, Wolfe it is great to see some of your collection. Wish I could have seen them in person (well, the Fuegen was at the Guild show) and the photographs are terrific. Very nice knives indeed.

Hello Wolfgang,

Your artistic talents and rare taste for harmony is also obvious
in your photography! Those are some beautiful knives you collected
along the way.
Did you keep some of your exquisite art pieces too?

Hope to see you at the BLADE Show!

All the best,
David Darom (ddd)
