All right y'all.... fess up, what'd you get related to knifemaking

My father in law brought drawings by of the smithy he's going to build for me and he's going to pay to have the storage building/workshop out back wired. :D Course he's a blacksmith also and his shop isn't wired at the moment.

Well I'm off to eat some more. :D

I got a 14" bandsaw from Wholesale tool. When I get done it will have 2hp VFD power.

Bead blasting cabinet :D Wrong size media (like 300 grit) but I've been chomping at the bit to blast some Ti pieces :)

Saw blades, Needle Files, Spring Loaded Awl, Soap Stones, Parts Holders, possibly something else that I can't think of at the moment. :)
Hope all you steel bashers and grinders had a great day!

Oh and a 1000 grit Japanese wet stone with holder for honing my final edges. :)

Not quite sure how that worked, but it posted it again after twenty minutes?? Merry Christmas to everyone again!

Three packs of Norton wet/dry sand paper, and a Craftsman 2x42 grinder. Gave away six knives for Christmas gifts.

i hot a kydex sheath press, a bag of rivets, 60 square feet of OD kydex some rivets and some tek loks. merry christmas everyone

$50 Sears gift card- that'll go towards a new shop vac most likely.

I also ordered myself a Paragon KM-14D a few weeks back and should get it soon if that counts! Merry Xmas to me.

My family got me a Baldor 2hp tefc motor for my grinder, but they got the 3450 rpm one. I will trade it in for the slower speed.
On a side note, I got the book, knives 2009 and a sweet damascus knife from Robert Mayo.

I got a cool 6 LED set that surrounds the lenses on my Magnevisor and a CMT Orange 1.5" wide carbide flat router bit. I'm going to try using the router bit in my mini-mill instead of a fly cutter for flattening handle slabs.

I got a Drill Doctor from my kids, it is their first foray into buying me tools.
I am very pleased

I got two forging hammers, 2007 and 2009 Annual Knives books, two pieces of stabilized burls (one of the buckeye, can't wait), one thing of blacksmith tongs, the art of Japanese Sword Polishing, and I think thats it. Oh, I also got one of those Atom notebooks that are $300... I plan on using that to develop my website.

I made my dad a Knife... its the best one I made so far so I can't wait to show you.

I didnt get any knife making stuff :( but I did get a Puma Skinnner (440c) and My dad's first hunting knife... old carbon skinner knife that my Grampa ordered from sheffield back in the early seventies and my dad handled with stag & brass. :D

New work bench and some tools, stoked to get this thing together and in use. always need the work space it has a 36" drawer as well, gonna be my new finishing bench Im thinkin.

My wife said to get myself a tang stamp for Christmas. I am trying to figure out what size/font etc so I can get it ordered. I also got a little $$$ that I am going to turn into a thermocouple and PID for my forge. Also got a nice knife in the Christmas exchange. I didn't do too bad.

Once I got to full time knifemaking status, my fam quit buying me stuff for the shop at Christmas. Even though I don't do it full time anymore, they tend to leave the shop "toy shopping" to me :D

So I bought myself a rotary platen, a beveled face 9" disc, some new contact wheels, and a pretty kick ass drill set from sears 19.2 volt 1/2" drill and 3/8" right angle drill.

My aunt and uncle did get me a really cool set of 3 Arkansas stones! :D

Mostly I got new clothes and stuff for working out.
