I posted an article about knifemaking tips I wrote (but never got around to publishing) on my web site. It's a collection of things I've learned over the years -- some with a touch of humor.

You can get to the article by going to my homepage:
http://www.johnownby.com

Then click on "Miscellaneous" then "Knifemaking Tips" in the articles section.

Always think of your fellow knife makers as partners in the search for the perfect blade, not as people trying to compete with you and your work!

John-

That is a great site! I like the colors, the layout, and it's easy to navigate

I really hope that people are reading your tips, even if they aren't appreciative enough (yet...) to say "Thank-You John." You have put up a lot of information that can not only save money but save some people a lot of heart-ache and possible injury.

Unfortunately, I already have learned about half of your tips on my own, the hard way. But then again, that made me laugh even more hardily as I read them.

You did a great job with this...light-hearted and fun, yet serious enough to get the points across.

And great knives too! I love that textured Bowie!

Did I mention how cool that sander you made is? Well it sure is! Very ingenuitive!

Thanks John,
Nick
