I'll make it short.
I'm going to New York city.Can I carry my Leaterman sideclip? And what does US customs say about bringing it into the country?

I am not a lawyer. My interpretation of the information on the above sites is that as long as the blade is less than 4" and the article can be argued to be a tool rather than a "dangerous weapon" it's ok. I would probably carry it in such a manner that the clip or other parts of the tool did not show.

You should not have any problem getting it into the country in your checked luggage, as it is a U.S. product. I would not take the chance of transporting it on my person or in carry-on luggage, as it may be confiscated.

Thanks,that was exacly the iformation I wanted.I will carry it in the checked luggage since it is forbidden to have any "pointy objects" in the cabin during flight.
