welcome roy, i used to live down the road in chico. anyway there are a few ways, 3m sells a bubble belt that is made for this purpose. i have one but don't use it anymore. i just use the same 50 grit norton ceramics that i profile and grind the blade in with then clean off and even up the flats. use one of the eraser sticks to get the slag out of the belt.
