:thumbdn: placed an order, 3 days later I recieve an email saying "sorry we are out of stock on one of your items, how would you like to proceed"?

My reply was to cancel the order.. 2 days later I enquire about when my refund will take place and when might I expect it back in paypal.. Went home after work and found what I was looking for at another shop, placed the order, and received it 2 days later.. Still no reply from knifesupply.. Called and left a message with customer service...." noteing that I have canceled my order and asked again for a refund, also sent another email... Well 8 days later I get a partial refund to paypal and a shipping notice that they have sent my other half order out!... Emailed and called, still no reply.... I'm done with them.. And just wanted to let people know what to maybe expect.

Are you going to dispute the charge for the portion of the order that they shipped (completely disregarding your numerous cancellation requests) with PayPal and/or your credit card company?
 
Paypal said to contact the seller and ask how to take care of it.. I still have no response from knife supply..so it looks like I will have to wait a certain period before I can have paypal do anything..
 
Knifesupply.com is awful. I will never deal with them again. I had an issue where I wanted a refund but they never replied to my emails or my phone calls. Never buy from them, their customer service is awful. I am going to start a KnifeSupply.com thread of my own as soon as this one falls off the first page.
 
update....sold blade to a friend, still have not heard one word or return email from knifesupply.
 
I ordered a knife from them two weeks ago and never received an update email or tracking at all. I emailed them yesterday and they responded today saying that it shipped yesterday. Kind of odd how I hear nothing for two weeks and the day I email you about it happens to be the day it shipped. The wording in the reply email implied that it had shipped before they got my email. Sounds weird I will give an update when the package arrives.
 
Ok I got the shipment today so that was quick from when it actually left their facility. I do have to admit that the knife was in excellent condition as was exactly how it was described. I can only share my experience I hope it helps.
 
I placed an order before I read all of this, all to save 20$. In hindsight I would not have. Seems like e-mail is the way to contact Shawn. I think the phone is contracted out, IMO. I did get an email back with shipping info, but I emailed several times wanting an answer. Package should be here Fri. or Sat. we will see.......
 
Working with this online vendor appears to be too much of a night maintenance situation. Also, if Paypal states go work it out with the supplier, I say blow Paypal off in the future and use a credit card so that you can use their formal dispute process.
 
I did receive my order, it was all good. All I can say is that communication is not even close to what other online retailers provide.
