Knifeworks Grizzly

Thats an awesome deal. They must be discontinuing them. Id jump on it if I didn't spend so much money already this month on other things.

One of my favorite knives.... I've got two..... One backup..... But I paid $99 each.... Dang this is a great deal on a great knife..... Especially with full ss liners that are skeletonized for weight savings and blue thumbstud and spacers.

And don't forget factory mini deep carry clip

Ordered mine yesterday. I don't need it at all, but for $79 no way I could resist.

Edit: It showed up two days after purchase. Thanks to KW! Meanwhile, it's a damn nice knife - especially for the price. Stuck a spoon-type deep carry clip on it and it's definitely an ergonomic keeper. For once, one of my snap-buys turned out great.

It's a great deal. There's just not enough there to compel me to purchase it. S30v, a recurve, and rubber handles aren't things that get me excited and kill it for me. With that being said it's a bargain and anyone needing a good knife would be hard pressed to do better for the money.

Resistance is futile...

Oh I know... And these forums won't help my case either!

I shuffled through a bunch of cheap folders (Gerber, Camillus, etc) about 5 years ago before upgrading to a 556 Mini Grip. I carried that for a few years and loved it so much I wanted another. I thought I was done when I got my grail at the time - an M390 558 Ritter Mini Grip. I had my perfect knife and kicked my knife buying habit for a couple years until I started watching BladeHQ's videos. Got a Bugout last month and now my list of new knives and mods for existing knives is half the length of my arm...

Out of town for work, but the grizzly ridge showed up today! Wife wasn’t too happy, but she was nice enough to send me these pics. I will inspect tomorrow evening when I get back!

With the recurve being so slight, do you guys think I will have any trouble sharpening with the KME system?

I have never sharpened a recurve.

Thanks for the help!

Thanks Steve Mizic Steve Mizic -

Ordered one for the Missus for Valentine's day - she likes blue knives and, well, $79!

Appreciate the info -

best

I have never sharpened a recurve.

I had no issues on my Spyderco sharpmaker...... It was easy and quick,...... This is now my favorite knife..... Which is why I have 4 of them

Took the bait at 4am Monday. Got it fast! Delivered to California on Wednesday. Thanks Knifeworks!
Very mixed feelings but still a steal at $79.

The black Versaflex portion of the handle is probably great for what this knife was designed for; processing game.
They are probably great with wet hands etc. However for EDC they kind of fight getting into a pocket. Also the scales feel a bit cheap, low quality.

The super popular mini deep carry pocket clip makes this very grippy, ergonomic tool have its only hot spot. The clip dugs into the palm.
I traded it out for a split arrow clip and it made it much better in the hand. The regular orange version comes with the split arrow clip which makes sense. If I were to actually use it for field use on game (if I was so lucky these days) I would remove the clip altogether.

I love the thick blade stock and grind and I am a fan of S30V. Blade came perfectly centered and adjusted.
The blue thumbstuds and spacers are sweet looking.
