Looks like Roger has had enough.

Notice

Over the next month or so, we will be making some changes to our website due to PayPal’s policy. PayPal is controlling our website with certain products we cannot sell, due to California’s Law, even though we are in the state of Louisiana. We have just removed 53 popular items off the website due to PayPal’s policy, which we think it is unfair, just because it is Illegal in California does not mean it is Illegal to sell in the rest of the world. Once all the changes are made, we will no longer accept PayPal through the website. Although, our PayPal account will still remain active for direct transfer to who decides to pay through PayPal. We will still accept PayPal as a payment option for orders, but you will have to direct transfer the money into our PayPal account, it will no longer be done through the website as you process your order. In the meantime with all the changes, we are looking into another processor for our website. We apologize for any inconveniences that this may cause you, Thank you for understanding and we appreciate your business!

I'm excited. PayPal is unbelievably controlling. I have ordered quite a few times from Roger at Knifeworks and have even more reason now to blow money there.
 
This really is great news! Nw if we could only convince Roger to get a Dealer Membership here. Hmmmm.

That would be nice...and oh so convenient...see if you can make that happen Rev...a little outside salesmanship maybe...:thumbup:
 
It is SO high time a viable alternative to Paypal comes along. They provide a good service but this is simply what you get when a company has a monopoly. Kudo's to KW. :thumbup:
 
I usually do a direct transfer anyway and the automatic thing doesn't work half the time.

Good for Roger. His outfit is Grade A+.

I am in the UK and when i saw this thread my heart sunk as PP is my route to buying gear online from stores outside the UK. I have bought quite a lot of Spyderco's after Amber has hooked me up with the latest sprint run. I am releived that the PP option is still available at Knifeworks even though i will have to send the funds manually.

Google wallet looks promising. Really the rigt answer is to produce a low cost hig volume gateway for cc transfers.

Google is located in Mountain View, California though. It would be and currently is the same letter of the law that Paypal is trying to institute. A company would have to be in a much less restrictive state.

Use a credit card, pay your balance on time and it should not be a problem.
