Knifezilla Anyone dealt with them?

Wanted to place an order for my son but need an opinion on their service.
Anybody dealt with them? If so how did it go?
 
There has been some comments, both good and bad, on this guy.

I suggest doing a search, and draw your own conclusions.
 
"This guy" is Josh of PVK and BA. An honest but often overloaded guy. Some complaints of slow service. Knifezilla sells mostly second rate imports, usually at fair prices. Just my 2 cents.
 
Nothing, because I wouldn't order anything from him. There are a few reasons for this. First, he sells dozens of knockoffs and I won't support any dealer that does this. Second, I question his ethics. He has a web site that is blatantly feeding off of the popularity of another dealer. Though some might just consider that to be good business, I think it is beneath contempt. Add to the above the fact that I have read many posts complaining about his slow service and about him being next to impossible to get in touch with and you end up with a company that I wouldn't have anything to do with.
 
Josh might not want anything to do with you either Keith, but that doesn’t help Blinker. He wants some feedback from someone who has placed an order with Knifezilla. I have never ordered from Knifezilla but I do business with Josh on a regular basis. I find him honest and easy to deal with. Telephone gets a quicker reply than email from him.
 
I've had him email be back within an hour sometimes, of course i have bought from him 3 times, all great service.

I have ordered from him 5 times.

4 times were top notch and I had my stuff in just over a week.

Once was a problem: out of stock, didn't let me know and I had to chase. Took about two months and then he sent the wrong item.

In the end he made it right with me and I would/have ordered from him again.

I would have preferred to be able to give him 5 out of 5.
 
I have had 3 good orders with him and communication and service was great on all three. One of those 3 was a major purchase.

However others tell me bad things about the service they recieved from him so i don't order from him anymore, just all my recent purchases have been really really major and I don't want to take any chances on a 400 dollar custom getting lost or not being sent.
 
robert I have no expierence with knifezilla BUT have ordered from PVK befroe and have been pleased. If its the same guy you should be fine. IMHO

In the beginning of my knife collecting I bought 20-30 knives from PVK without any problem. If I needed to talk with Josh I called him on the phone. He answers his phone all the time!

I never ordered thru Knifezilla but imagine their service is on par with PVK and that service was superb for me.
