Knives and Coffee

Had to break out the woods kit this morning, although the AeroPress is my daily user.
Power has been out for 13 hours 51 minutes. Not like I'm keeping track or anything.
I am though, seeing as it will cost me close to $1000 to replace the grub in my fridge/freezer if this isn't resolved pretty soon...:(
The 119 is appropriate, I've been carrying this one in the woods for close to 40 years, brings back great memories of far, far better times.

And this is where I have to drink my coffee this morning due to a dead phone.
I know I should have one of those brick charging things but seriously this is the first time in like 10 years that I needed one.
The Helle is my go-to console knife these days, it was handy for the picture.;)

Yikes. That sucks. Hope it comes back on soon. You really should get and external charger. They are so inexpensive these days.

I hope that power is back quick. We always have a good deal of perishables and when the pier goes down my stress sky rockets. Luckily there is a market 5 min away that has dry ice. I just buy a couple pounds and make some room in the fridge/freezer for a block each. Usually gives me another 24 hours if I am careful.

On the gadget side I love when the power goes out. The kids are all kinds of pumped to go low tech since it’s new stimuli. I also get to show the wife that all the gear I like gets used. Win win!

Thanks!
Just came back on after 17 hours.
Immediately checked the temperature of a pint of 1/2&1/2 in the fridge and it was 50 degrees.
I didn't open the door once and the freezer is packed because of this other current unfortunate situation...so all should be good.
Hopefully my beers will be chilled for dinnertime!;)

And yes Craytab, I'm definitely going to grab an external charger.
Will make my hiking overnighters a little bit easier at least.
