Very unique, but looks like some sort of insect ready to bite! ;)
 
Time for a Baratza Encore refurb...🔧

I can't remember exactly when I bought it but has to be 7 or 8 years at least, and the expected life of the burr is 10 years grinding 1 pound/week...lol, amateurs.;)
I go through much more.
It was getting slow and straining to grind some roasts so it was time, and the burr was showing considerable wear.
Figured since I was taking it apart anyway I'd replace all the wearable parts.
Pricing wasn't too bad, like $60 shipped for all.
I did consider picking up an upgrade to the Encore but where's the fun in that.
Straightforward instructions made for a fairly simple operation, the biggest issue was cleaning everything, what a mess.
Anyway here are a few pictures and the cup I made after the test run, works great!☕
Grind is faster and definitely back to the uniformity when the grinder was new.:thumbsup:
