At a horse show. My new friend Dave came down for this deal from BC. Saw that he had one of my knives on the belt of his chaps. Here in the black vest:

Rode over to him and asked him about it and he said he'd bought it from our ad in the back of Western Horseman magazine 15-20 years ago. Told him I made it and wasn't quite sure he believed me at first:

Wy wife and I headed to the meet and greet the evening before the show got started. The signs on the gates reminded you to close them to keep the wild hogs out. We was kinda in the boonies. Parkfield, Ca. population 18!

Warming up:

Our friend Dwight was looking over some of the knives I'd taken. We didn't have a booth as a vendor as we were both riding but I learned a long time ago to take what knives I have, in stock, cause folks are gonna ask if we brought any knives. Took nine and sold nine.

Dwight was also my Pro as this is a pro/amateur kind of deal. A fun four days away!
