I couldn't find a similar thread so this kicks it off. Post pics of your favorite long guns and knives together. Deer rifle, elephant gun or rimfire plinker. Folders or fixed blades. Anything goes.

Boy that's a hard one since I'd have to go clear back to my Vietnam Sniper rifle days and I have had so many favorites since then, however , this year I am setting my old Marlin lever action 45-70 aside and going for deer with the new Ruger 77/44 and my home grown 275 gr. WFN GC cast bullets and my new Bark River Drop Point blade. Nothing fancy but I sure have it shooting good now.

I have gotten rid of most of my firearms and only keep a couple around though I have not used them in almost a decade. This precharged pneumatic air rifle takes care of the small game and pest critters in the yard. Whisper quiet and able to turn off the light switch out to 50 yards on rabbits and squirrels. I get a lot more trigger time this way.

I own a Steyr SSG 69 7,62,
....as do I. I am guessing mine is late 70s production. I got it @1986 and it was one of the factory packages with the Khales ZF69 and serial numbered mounts etc. I will dig some pics of it out later. It does not look much like it did when it arrived to me however.

Mine are locked up in difficult to access places currently. Once I'm able to live on my own again, it'll be easier to get pics.

So, I'll just list what I got.

1944 Underwood M1 carbine
1957~ Remington model 760 gamemaster in .308 Winchester
2012 Remington .22 not sure the model
Ancient early 1900's bolt action .22 a brand no one has heard of. It was great-grandfather's varmint gun on the farm in Grinnell, IA. I've extensively googled it, taken it to gunsmiths, nada information. Perfect working order, but no magazine. I can't shoot it anyway, I'm a lefty.

What brand is the old .22? I love the old off brand guns.

Can't remember off hand. Really cool little wood stock gun.

Speaking of off brand, (sort of), I have a Montgomery Ward model 600 12 gauge shotgun. It's essentially a Mossberg 500, but made for MW. Don't know the age, was my grandfather's.

Sounds like a cool rifle.

My Mossberg is a recent acquisition and I'm still working on it before I can do some real shooting with it, it fires but needs some work.
My brother bought it cheap at a gun show and gave it to me for storing his firearms for him when he moved back to my mom's temporarily.
It's got Sticky ejection and bad headspace plus the bolt handle is gonna need a taco weld or two because the threads are pretty stripped, gotta get around to buying some Hoppes #9 and a cleaning kit hopefully a good cleaning will cure the headspace issue.
Replaced the Bakelite trigger guard with a used original and a bought repro elevation knob for the s102 rear sight.

Using a bolt action as a lefty is just something you get used to, didn't take me long with the MSP air rifles I shoot just about every day.

Cool H&S, thanks. I don't have another bolt gun, but I'll try next time I get together with my friend.

Having to move back home sucks. July 2016, getting divorced, severe liver disease forced me back home at age 37. I'd been on my own since I was 18. Went from a 4 bedroom house to a single small bedroom. Like going from an RV to a tricycle. With the nephews over all the time, the long guns are locked up high in our workshop. Need a ladder. The pistols are in my room, locked as well.

Here's my carbine disassembled. Pic is over ten years old.

Here's the Remington model 760 with the bolt gun, also 10+ year old photo.
