Joe Kertzman sent me and all the other Knife photographers a note: He has been hired to create and edit the Knives Annual for 2019. The editors at Guns Digest purchased the rights. (FW Publications (Blade magazine parent) decided to cancel the work for reasons unknown late last year.)

It may be a different format this year as he's past previous deadlines, and so he's limiting his entries to work submitted by the professional photographers. This will undoubtably change for 2020, but he's doing what he's been asked. I have delivered a gazillion submissions to him. Others will too.

This said, this IMPORTANT periodical remains alive for our Knife Community.

Now you know. Updates as I know more.

I'm told there was a flyer/handout describing the Knives Annual next steps, left on tables at Blade.

Did anyone grab a copy? Can you post a shot? What did it say?

Sounds like the Guns Digest people are phagocytosis'ing all kinds of knife-related stuff. Pun intended. :D
