Here are some pics of the PSK jr. by Scott Gossman I used on the Nessmuk weekend I recently posted about. Also pictured is a Gossman Mini-Tusker with Green Linen Micarta handled by Greg Haugh of Loneridergrips.com.

I'll be seriously using the Mini-Tusker soon. It will be off to JRE for a sheath in the next week or so. I wanted a knife similar to the Bravo-1 by BRKT but a tad smaller. This one is just under 4" in blade length and just over 4" in handle length. Balance point is just behind the first handle pin thanks to extra holes drilled in the handle to lighten it.

So, what do you guys think?

Like all of Scotts work it is extremely usable ,and that is what makes them works of art. excellent blades!

Wow Kev, that Mini Tusker came out great as did the PSK Jr. which I saw during our Nessmuk trip. Greg does some awesome handle work.

What do I think....... fantastic. Scott makes a first rate knife..... and the scales look great. Any time Scott posts here regarding a knife shape, grind, tempering, ect..... I read and memorize as much as I can:cool:

Congrats.

Edditd to add.... I hear (read) a lot about Busse, Swamp Rat, and Scrap Yard knives here and on other forums. As I'm sure they are top notch knives (never owned one) I would bet Scott could make a knife that would give them a run for their $$$. I say that because I have owned two of Scott's knives and all could be batoned through a tank;)

very nice kev.... great work scott.....:thumbup: i really like that PSK jr..:D

I must have said it a million times now but one day I will save up enough pennies for one of Scotts knives !!!:D
That Mini-Tusker looks like my idea of blade perfection, if I am truly honest though I do prefer the more rustic-mountain man-ish type handles that Scott puts on but that's just me !!!!:o

I'm really diggin that psk jr. I wonder if I could get a shorter tang,me likes to palm a knife.

The regular PSK knife has really done well. The Jr. is one I haven't really put out there yet but will post more about them once I go fulltime in Nov. I'll have more time to make them. This is a proto I made with bone scales. Sorry about the bad pic. Kev requested 3/32" thick A2 steel. The standard Jr. is 1/8" O1. Width is 3/4". Same size as the regular PSK knife, 6" overall with a 2 1/2" blade.

Scott - Great work - Really like the PSK - Looks like a good size for me: And, the jigged bone on the Junior is beautiful.

Might have to put one in my collection soon.....

Hope you make it to Timonium next weekend.
