Knives & Cars

Like cutchu above, I too was heavily influenced by Mad Max/The Road Warrior when I was a kid.

I don't own any 4 wheeled vehicles. I've never owned a 4 wheeled vehicle for personal transportation.

This one I've been riding for over 20 years.

It never hurts to have an extra. The second one I've been riding for 18 years.

Motorcycles and switchblades, my two greatest passions.

Fun! I was really into first-gen Celica coupes during/after high school. I had four, but my favorites were a ‘71 ST and ‘74 GT. Only pic I have is of my ‘74 GT right where I found it, before I took ownership. Also had a ‘71 Firebird Esprit and a ‘49 Studebaker Land Cruiser. My grandfather had a ‘37 Studebaker.

More recently I had a 1970 Fiat 124 Sport Spider that I really loved, restored, with a lot of performance upgrades-probably the most fun of them all. I also drove a ‘92 MR2 during that time. My daily driver for the last ten years has been a little Scion FRS. It’s my first new car, with more cup holders than ashtrays, and my first automatic.

LOVED those old MR2s. I remember seeing one that had a plate that read "RU MRS2? Must have stuck out very prominently for me to remember that for this long. VERY cool little cars!!!

Lol that’s awesome! And yeah they’re great. Mine was a 2.2 NA with black leather and 14” steelies. A bone-stock original. I took it to about 220k miles.

Just sold it last month. Its a Cutlass Supreme that a previous owner did up as a 442 clone

That is gorgeous! I would’ve been tempted to just throw a 455 in anyway. Don’t get me wrong, I loved my small block 403, but there’s no replacement for displacement 😎 Rocket Racing and some other guys are still doing crazy things with Oldsmobile engines, making ridiculous power and getting like 600 cubes out of them with the newer aftermarket blocks. (Not that you need that, you can make 500 lb-ft easy on pump gas.)

I don’t have any pics with knives and my car together but this is my baby. 1957 Chevy Bel-air. Bone stock original. 46k original miles
You win. What a beauty sweetie.gif
For the record, I'd definitely have put some seat-time on that spindly-forked Kwacker!
And, I know all about life happening, cutchu....I'm closing in on 50 years in the saddle and I'm slowing down a bit (just look at the layer of dust on that Corbin!), no matter how quick the bike may be.
Anyway, thanks for the well-wishes and I'll roll off a few miles in your name this year, eh?

Ok, I'm a Mopar guy and I lusted after a certain 383/4 speed '68 Roadrunner that lived down the block so you win! Sorry S Steve Danielewicz , I'm fickle 😇

Lots of super nice rides

Lol if you say so…
Is that a Cobra? 😍
Edit: duh, NVM I just realized the distributor is in the back so it’s probly not a Ford… what are you building?
Yes, there is a knife on the first picture.
This was an old project, I was helping friend of mine to build his kit Cobra, longer mainframe and some other off the cliché changes,
custom emblem and other things, combining Ford and Chevy markings .
It is and old picture, I've posted those before, project done about 2 years back:
