Knives come and gone

Well, inane posts or not, I'll add to this one.......

I've only ever lost two knives: a Buck 501 Squire and a Gerber Folding Sportsman I. Both were lost in the 1980s, and I have since replaced both of those with multiple knives of the same brand and model. The only knife I had that I no longer have and wished I did is a pre-pat. pend. Buckmaster I bought in 1984 or 1985. I realized in the early 1990s that I was never going to use it, so I gave it to a good friend who admired it. They have been discontinued for a long time and cost $300 to $400 now when they can be found.

I had a Buck 112 Ranger stolen out of my car. The one I replaced it with is just not the same. When I use it, I just get mad at the punk who lifted the first one. I know who did it. I just can't prove it. Oh well, you can't take them with you any how.

I wish I had my first knife. It was an Imperial slip joint with blue and green plastic scales and was probably 1.5 or 2" closed length and I suspect the size of a Vic Classic. I was in the second grade and had purchased it myself. The second Imperial (the replacement) was a bit larger at probably 3" closed length with pearly white plastic handles. It's gone too. A Case Barlow came next which I wore out..... basically my Dad wore it out sharpening it on a grinding wheel. It became unsafe to carry.

I'm 21. Just realizing I know nothing compared to you guys. And I'm naturally inquisitive. So I ask a lot of questions. It's a bad habit but I can't seem to break it

I started a "minor topics and random stuff thread" a while back. You should ask your questions there rather than starting a new thread every time. It's a fun thread becuase it's basically a "sub-general", and when you bring something up in there you'll get plenty of answers. But you won't be polluting general with unnecessary threads ;)

Just some advice
